Series of Open House Meetings and Additional Reports to be Made Available
LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GA (July 15, 2026) — As part of the promise made by Rock City Enterprises to provide more communication regarding development of a gondola system, a series of six community open house meetings is being planned for August. Rock City recently released the entire traffic study to the public and is also planning to release reports regarding noise levels, safety data, environmental concerns, and sewer infrastructure to the community. Due to the large amount of information involved, each report will be made available to the public thru media releases leading up to the meetings.
Meetings have been set for the following dates and locations:

Doug Chapin, President and CEO of Rock City said, “We have such gratitude for the community that has been our home for 94 years. As this process has unfolded, we realized the passion so many have for Rock City and our community; and of course, we want to gain these valuable insights to make sure the future we share is one that is beneficial for all of us.”
Leading up to the community meetings, Rock City will release information on noise levels, safety data, environmental concerns, and sewer infrastructure, providing full transparency and active communication as promised, with the community. Each meeting will encourage residents to provide input that will be documented for consideration into Rock City’s planning efforts.
Chapin noted, “Following the meetings, we’ll provide documentation of community ideas and insights and we will release those findings to the public. We’re dedicated to the process and will take the necessary time to make sure we get it right. Nothing is more important to us than remaining good stewards for the next 94 years of Rock City’s history.”
The vote before city council will be a text amendment that will decide the zoning matter.
