Enchanted Garden of Lights FAQs
What is new at the Enchanted Garden of Lights this year?
The Enchanted Garden of Lights has been enhanced and updated with additional lights throughout the park and a brand new light show in the Magic Forest. It should be noted that the new light show does contain strobe lights and may not be suitable for those sensitive to flashing lights.
What is the best time to attend?
Mondays through Thursdays tend to be less busy and can make for a more meaningful experience. Weekends and holidays are typically much busier at the Enchanted Garden of Lights.
Is all of the daytime Rock City trail open during the Enchanted Garden of Lights?
Most of Rock City is open for the Enchanted Garden of Lights, but as in past years, Fat Man's Squeeze and the Hall of the Mountain King are closed due to steep, dark passageways. There is a portion of Rock City that is open during the Enchanted Garden of Lights that is not open during other times of the year. A different vantage point to explore!
When do you start selling tickets for Enchanted Garden of Lights?
The ticket desk stops selling daytime tickets at 4:00 PM. The ticket desk is then closed for 30 minutes to prepare for the Enchanted Garden of Lights. The ticket desk reopens at 4:30 PM to sell tickets to the Enchanted Garden of Lights.
I purchased my tickets online for the Enchanted Garden of Lights, do I still need to wait in line at the ticket desk?
No, you can proceed to the Enchanted Garden of Lights entrance. Just follow the golden path across from the ticket desk. If you are visiting on a weekend, and have purchased online tickets, your tickets must say FRIDAY - SUNDAY. Otherwise, you will need to proceed to the ticket desk to upgrade your tickets to our Premiere night event pricing.
When can we enter the park for Enchanted Garden of Lights?
The gates to the North Pole Highway are opened at 5:30 PM, however, the four realms of wonder for the Enchanted Garden of Lights do not open until 6:00 PM. You are welcome to explore along the North Pole Highway where the lighted, narrated nativity story is told, visit the North Pole Lodge to see Mrs. Claus or decorate gingerbread cookies or visit the shops in Downtown Yule Town while you wait! We open the gates at 5:30 PM to allow for better traffic flow and to keep foot traffic in the parking lot to a minimum, but the Enchanted Garden of Lights does not open until 6:00 PM so that it is dark enough to enjoy the magical light displays.
Is there enough parking?
As we are located on top of a mountain, there are a limited number of parking spaces available. We have expanded our parking area since last year and do our very best to park our guests as efficiently as possible. On our busiest nights, we have a police officer assisting with traffic before you arrive at Rock City and every night we have our own parking attendants working to assist guests. Many nights, our employees park offsite to allow for more available space. While we cannot control the traffic, we will do our best to get everyone parked as quickly and safely as possible.
What time do you stop selling tickets?
Tickets are sold from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM. On our busiest nights, the ticket desk will remain open until traffic entering the park has cleared. We do not closed the entrances to any of the four realms until one and a half hours after the last ticket is sold in order to give our guests time to enjoy their visit.
