Kitchen Team Leader

Experience employment as you never have before...Grandview offers a boutique wedding experience high above the clouds.  Our team works with each of our couples to customize a menu for their special day, prides itself in superb customer service and delivers up to 70 unforgettable events every year.  We are looking for a Kitchen Team Leader to lead our catering team in the preparation of our signature exquisite cuisine.

The Kitchen Team Leader will work with our Grandview management team to customize menu designs for our clients and lead the team to fulfill client expectations with 100% satisfaction. Specific responsibilities include purchasing food to maintain required quality, safety, and food cost ratio, food preparation, supervision of contract labor services, food, alcohol and supply purchasing, and cleaning and closing of kitchen and facility after events.

The ideal candidate will have a degree from Culinary School, previous experience in menu design, and will be able to communicate effectively with staff in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Specific requirements include two to five years related food service/preparation experience, excellent knife skills, and formal training in food safety. Candidates must be able to work independently with little supervision, and must also work well in a team environment, interacting with clientele in a professional manner. Candidates must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, often in 12-15 hour days and must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Candidates must also have excellent computer skills with experience in MS Office applications and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER

The Maintenance Team is critical to our success, as they work to keep our properties in shape to deliver an excellent experience for every guest. The Team Leader is an hourly supervisor who is responsible for the day-to-day operation of theMaintenance Team. Key areas of responsibility include leadership and management of the hourly partners on the Maintenance team, including work assignments, coaching, scheduling, guest service and other administrative tasks necessary for daily operation. The Maintenance Team leader coordinates the preventative maintenance schedule and also responds to ordinary and non-routine work orders.

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, as well as strong skills in some or all of the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance projects. Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment, interacting with guests and other team members on a daily basis. Other qualifications include basic math and reading skills, possession of a current driver's license with good driving record, the ability to work in small, tight spaces, the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and the ability to work independently when needed.

This position is a regular full-time hourly-paid position with benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as paid time-off holiday, sick and vacation time. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, although weekend, evening, and holiday work is occasionally required.
